Summary
DescriptionProcessing.jpg | A photograph of a part (a racing yacht winch drum) undergoing plasma electrolytic oxidation. The two vertical rods, wrapped in yellow insulation, serve as supports and provide the electrical connection of the workpiece to the power supply. The surface of the workpiece is scintillating with myriad orange discharges. The surface of the electrolyte is disturbed both by coolant re-circulation and by gas evolution from the surface of the workpiece. |
