The 2024–25 season is the 93rd season in the history of Wigan Athletic Football Club and their second consecutive season in League One. In addition to the domestic league, the club would also participate in the FA Cup, the EFL Cup, and the EFL Trophy.
The 2024/25 season is also the first season where Wigan Athletic is free from the transfer embargo that was placed upon the club by the English Football League despite Mike Danson's takeover of the club at the start of the 2023/24 campaign.[1]
