1975 diesel engine
The Caterpillar 3208 is a turbocharged 10.4-liter inline eight-cylinder diesel engine manufactured by Caterpillar and first introduced in 1975. The Caterpillar 3208 was discontinued in 1999 due to its low fuel efficiency and lack of compliance with internal combustion exhaust emission laws which were due to come into force.[1]
Applications
The engine was used in trucks, buses, and marine and construction equipment.
