Brenton Lamont Strange (born December 27, 2000) is an American football tight end for the Jacksonville Jaguars of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Penn State.

Early years

Strange was born on December 27, 2000, in Eden, North Carolina. He attended Parkersburg High School, where he had 57 receptions for 938 yards and 12 touchdowns for their football team as a junior.[1][2] Strange was rated a four-star recruit and committed to play college football at Penn State over offers from Ohio State, Notre Dame, and Purdue.[3][4]

College career

Strange played in two games as a true freshman and caught one pass for a four-yard touchdown reception before redshirting the season.[5] He played in nine games with five starts and had 17 receptions for 164 yards and two touchdowns in his redshirt freshman season.[6] Strange caught 20 passes for 225 yards and three touchdowns as a redshirt sophomore.[7][8] He began his redshirt junior season as the Nittany Lions' primary tight end.[9]

Strange was drafted by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the second round, 61st overall, of the 2023 NFL draft.[11]
