English: The Intel 8080 8-bit microprocessor was announced in April 1974. This introductory advertisement is from the May 2, 1974 issue of Electronics magazine (published on April 26, 1974). This advertisement also ran in the April 15, 1974 issue of Electronic News. The 8080's design engineers, Masatoshi Shima and Federico Faggin, wrote an article about the new microprocessor in the April 18, 1974 issue of Electronics magazine (published on April 12, 1974).
