(Erzurum, Kars, Elazığ, Erzincan,Adıyaman, Ağrı, Muş, Batman, Iğdır, Tunceli, Bingöl,Hakkari, Van vb.) yöre halkı tarafından “çaşır, çakşır,çaşur, çarçur, çarşur, heliz, kırkor, göbek, göbelekve mendik mantarı” gibi değişik isimlerle tanınan(Öder, 1980; Kaya, 2001; Akyüz, 2008) P. eryngii, Mayıs ve Haziran aylarında doğadan toplanarak yol kenarlarında ve yöre pazarlarında satılmaktadır.
