Perfect Family (Korean: 완벽한 가족) is an upcoming South Korean television series based on the webtoon of the same title by Nyangpa and Joo-eun, which was serialized on Naver in 2020–2021.[3] Directed by Isao Yukisada, and starring Park Ju-hyun, Yoon Se-ah, Kim Byung-chul, and Kim Young-dae. It is scheduled to premiere on KBS2 on August 14, 2024. It is also available for streaming on Viki and Viu in selected regions.

Synopsis

Perfect Family depicts the story of Choi Seon-hee's family, they seem happy and perfect to everyone, but started to doubt each other increasingly after the murder of Park Kyung-ho, who is a friend of Seon-hee.

The series was scheduled to air in the first half of 2024 on MBN.[2] On June 26, 2024, it was announced that it will air instead on KBS2 on August 14, 2024,[14][15] and will be scheduled as a Wednesday and Thursday drama, marking it's revival after two years.[16] It will also stream on OTT platforms Viki and Viu.[3][17]

Production

Controversy

It was reported on July 17, 2024 through Korean media outlets that the cast of "Perfect Family" had yet to receive their appearance fee, despite the filming being complete. Later on that day, the production of the drama Victory Content denied the report and stated that they had already paid all actors that participated in the drama. [18]
