Shortcuts

Requests for undeletion is a process intended to assist users in restoring pages or files that were uncontroversially deleted via proposed deletion, under certain speedy deletion criteria (such as maintenance deletions (G6) or stale Articles for creation drafts (G13)), or in deletion debates with little or no participation other than the nominator. This page is also intended to serve as a central location to request that deleted content be userfied, restored as a draft or emailed to you so the content can be improved upon prior to re-insertion into the mainspace, or used elsewhere (you may also make a request directly to one of the administrators listed here). This means that content deleted after discussion—at articles for deletion, categories for discussion, or miscellany for deletion among other deletion processes—may in some cases be provided to you, but such controversial page deletions will not be overturned through this process but through deletion review instead. Copyright violations and attack pages will not be provided at all.

Deleted mainspace articles may be refunded back to mainspace (eg for late contest of a WP:PROD deletion), or to userspace or draftspace. Depending on the circumstances, a refund request to mainspace might be rejected, but a refund request to draftspace or userspace might be accepted. Be clear as to which namespace is intended, when requesting a refund of a deleted article.

This page is only for requesting undeletion of pages and files which have already been deleted. If the page you are concerned about is still visible, but has a warning message (template) at the top, please do not post here, but follow the instructions in the template or on your talk page. Please do not request that pages deleted under speedy deletion criteria F7, F9, F11, U5, A7, A9, A11, G3, G4, G10, G11 or G12 be undeleted here.

2020 puma sightings in Santiago

Soft deleted at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/2020 puma sightings in Santiago. As the deletion verdict said, this was a "soft" deletion based on "minimal participation". I was not able to participate the week process was open. The article does not fall under WP:NOTNEWS beacause it is not 1) not original reporting, 2) the event was indeed rare and notable enough to be covered by numerous sources 3) "Who is who" does not aply 4) I was never gossip. There is a templated response (look for "Declined pending further information" in this page or in the archives) for repeated requests, that again result in the draft being abandoned. For refs, I didn’t know the draft didn’t have any but I have just added two. While the article needs more work, it can now be put in mainspace in my opinion since the notability is fairly clear. Do you have any independent reliable sources to back up the content? If so I don't see a problem with restoring it, if the article is accurate then the subject is almost certainly notable. I responded to the AfDs for Johnny Rapid, Brittany Coxxx, Will Clark, Ty Mitchell, and Michael Brandon. Frankly, I just didn't have the time to !vote on the AfD for Bjorn. Bjorn is also known as Anthony Camargo (when out of porn), under which name he designs jewelry. He's gotten covereage in The Good Men Project, Inc, Connection Newspapers, and others. The presidential Bush family has worn his designs (coverage here); so have Madonna, Angelina Jolie, Reese Witherspoon, Beyoncé, and Rosario Dawson (coverage here); he's also been nominated for two CFDA awards, having won one (coverage here). Then there's the gay porn career. There's some coverage of that out there, as he has a studio named after him, but the notability mainly rests with the jewelry. UP Halcyon

The AfD discussion over this article was abruptly closed (a non-admin closure), before recent edits were evaluated. The original, short article, while well-written and non-promotional was lacking any citations. When it was suddenly PRODed I objected, desirous to fix it. The proposer then placed it in an AfD vote. In that single week I cleaned up the page and added two references. Another editor added six more references, all of them correctly cited. Early voters voiced their short opinions, "Delete, no sources", or similar language but had only a few hours from when the improvements were made to the point where the non-admin closure was made.
