About me

I've been a Wikimedian since 2004. I've mainly been active on Swedish Wikipedia, but also done a fair number of edits on English Wikipedia and Commons, as well as written the odd article on a dozen other Wikipedias and dabbled in editing on a number of the sister projects.

My volunteer account is Julle. If I do any content edits logged in here I probably meant to do it from that account. My apologies.

I live in Malmö, Sweden.

My work

I'm one of the Community Liaisons.

I try to make sure the communities and the Community Tech team understand each other and that we – the team – can get the information we need from the Wikimedia communities to prioritize the things that will help the communities the most.

I'm here to make sure that the Foundation understands what the impact on the communities will be whenever they do technical development that's related to privacy.

I see to that Tech News gets published every week. I sometimes think about translations.

In a way, of course, I'm to be the voice of the Foundation on the Wikimedia projects, but equally important is to be the voice of the communities within the Foundation, attempting to make sure it does the things it should do to support the people who do all the work on the wikis.

Disclaimer: I work for or provide services to the Wikimedia Foundation, and this is the account I try to use for edits or statements I make in that role. However, the Foundation does not vet all my activity, so edits, statements, or other contributions made by this account may not reflect the views of the Foundation.
