The International Journal of Press/Politics is a peer-reviewed academic journal that covering the field of journalism, especially the linkages between the news media and political processes and actors. The editor-in-chief is Rasmus Kleis Nielsen (University of Oxford). It was established in 1996 and is currently published by SAGE Publications.

The International Journal of Press/Politics is abstracted and indexed in Scopus and the Social Sciences Citation Index. According to the Journal Citation Reports, the journal has a 2014 impact factor of 1.872, ranking it 18th out of 161 journals in the category "Political Science" and 9th out of 76 journals in the category "Communication".[1]
