Third of Henry Holiday's original ilustrations to "The Hunting of the Snark" by Lewis Carroll.

This illustrates the end section of Fit the First: The Landing. The Butcher has said he can only butcher beavers, and so:

Yet still, ever after that sorrowful day,
    Whenever the Butcher was by,
The Beaver kept looking the opposite way,
    And appeared unaccountably shy.
