English Wikipedia is monolingual, thus modules like these two are not necessary. Only used in one user sandbox. Pppery 02:18, 10 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • Question - I apparently don't understand, but what is the benefit of deleting? Robert McClenon (talk) 09:45, 17 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Weak Keep The English Wikipedia is not monolingual – for example, our policy states that references may be in any language (or character set). This module may find use in future applications – such as fetching references from a central wikibase repository – and on balance, the effort of recreating it when it is needed probably outweighs the few kilobytes of server space that it takes up. --RexxS (talk) 12:54, 17 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment' Module:Fallback is almost completely dependent on a non-existent mediawiki message. Pppery 13:26, 17 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete Fallback. Robert McClenon (talk) 20:20, 17 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep Linguistic. Robert McClenon (talk) 20:20, 17 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
    • Unfortunately, Module:Linguistic requires Module:Fallback: you can't delete the latter without breaking the former. --RexxS (talk) 00:17, 18 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
      • Well, Module:Linguistic could be kept by forking the code Linguistic needs from Module:Fallback, e.g. by moving the langswitch function over.--Snaevar (talk) 09:54, 24 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete both Module:Fallback is intended to show two users text in two different languages. No usecase has been mentioned for this. Module:Linguistic might be more helpful, but I do not see reference titles, etc. needing support for grammatical conjunction.--Snaevar (talk) 09:54, 24 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
