Placentalia (Halliday-2017)

  • User:Jts1882/phylogeny/Placentalia (Halliday-2015). This is the most comprehensive cladistic analysis of placental mammals and near relatives that I have seem. It has been constrained by the major novel findings of the molecular analyses so is consistent with the newer supraordinal structures that have become widely accepted. The traditional extinct groups are increasingly seen as polyphyletic and version of these cladograms can be used to illustrate the articles on these groups. I have in mind the condylarths, mesonychids and cimolesta, and their subgroupings.
