A substantial proportion of articles which are nominated for deletion via AfD undergo changes during the course of the discussion. At present, recognition of original vs. present version of the article is poor within the AfD framework. This template is intended to be used at the top of an AfD discussion, optionally inserted if substantial changes have been made which could impact on the outcome of the discussion.
The name of the template "Nominee edited" suggests it could be used in any number of contexts beyond AfD, but use during AfD proceedings was the intended use case.

Parameters
- oldid
This is the version ID for the originally nominated article. As version ID is unique across the en.wikipedia article namespace, the name of the article need not be included. For instance:
