Soviet republic, a republic ruled by soviets (workers' councils), may refer to one of the following:
- Any of the Republics of the Soviet Union.
- Any of several short-lived communist revolutionary governments that were established in the first half of the twentieth century, under the influence of the Russian Revolution:
- Hungarian Soviet Republic, in Hungary, from March 21 until the beginning of August, 1919.
- Bavarian Soviet Republic, in the German state of Bavaria, from April to May, 1919.
- Soviet Republic of Naissaar, in Estonia, from December, 1917 to 26 February, 1918.
- Slovak Soviet Republic, in southern and eastern Slovakia, from June 16 to July 7, 1919.
- Galician Soviet Socialist Republic, from July 8 to September 21, 1920.
- Polish Soviet Socialist Republic, from July to August 1920.
- Persian Soviet Socialist Republic, in the Persian province of Gilan from June, 1920 to September, 1921.
- Chinese Soviet Republic, in the Jiangxi province of China from 1931 to 1934.
