The women's 500 metres in short track speed skating at the 1992 Winter Olympics took place on 18 and 20 February at La halle de glace Olympique.[1][2]

Heats

The first round was held on 18 February. There were eight heats, with the top two finishers moving on to the quarterfinals.[1]
