Sergey Vasilevich Kuzmin (born 24 June 1987) is a Russian professional boxer who held the WBA Intercontinental heavyweight title from 2018 to 2019. As an amateur he won a gold medal at the 2010 European Championships.[1]

At the 2011 World Amateur Boxing Championships he lost to unsung Mohamed Arjaoui [2]

Professional career

Kuzmin vs. Dawejko

On 9 March 2019, Kuzmin faced Joey Dawejko. Kuzmin won the fight via majority decision, 96–94, 96–94 and 95–95 on the scorecards.[3]

Kuzmin vs. Hunter

In his next bout, Kuzmin faced Michael Hunter. Hunter was ranked #9 by the WBA, #10 by the IBF, #12 by the WBO and #14 by the WBC. Hunter won the fight convincingly on the scorecards, 117–110, 117–110 and 117–110.[4]

Kuzmin vs. Bakole

In his next bout, Kuzmin fought Martin Bakole. Bakole managed to secure the victory via unanimous decision victory, 98–92, 97–93 and 96–94 on the scorecards.[5]
