Robert Screen (born May 25, 2000) is an American professional soccer player who currently plays as a right-back for MLS Next Pro side Chattanooga FC.

Career

Youth & College

Screen attended Wakefield High School where he also played as part of the North Carolina FC academy.[1][2]

In 2018, Screen attended the University of Kentucky to play college soccer. Between 2018 and 2022, Screen went on to be a five-year starter, making 88 appearances for the Wildcats, scoring four goals and tallying 18 assists, also captaining the team in his final season. He was named as an SEC Fall Academic Honor Roll award-winner and was named to the C-USA Second Team in 2020 and 2021 while also receiving C-USA Tournament Champions honors in 2021. He helped the Wildcats win their second Conference USA Tournament title in program history in 2022.[3][4][5]

While at college, Screen also played in the USL League Two with North Carolina FC U23, making 29 appearances and scoring six goals across 2019, 2021, and 2022 due to the 2020 season being canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2019, he earned the Farouk Bseiso Award for his "exemplary dedication and commitment to the success of the NCFC U23 program".[2][6][7][8]

Following the 2022 season, Screen was eligible for selection in the 2023 MLS SuperDraft, but went undrafted.[9]

Professional

On March 15, 2023, Screen signed his first professional deal, joining USL League One side Forward Madison FC for their upcoming 2023 season.[10][11]

Screen joined Chattanooga FC of MLS Next Pro on January 10, 2024.[12]
