Pendle and Clitheroe is a proposed constituency of the House of Commons in the UK Parliament.[1] Further to the completion of the 2023 Periodic Review of Westminster constituencies, it will first be contested at the 2024 general election.[2]

The constituency will be composed of the following (as they existed on 1 December 2020):

  • The Borough of Pendle wards of: Barnoldswick; Barrowford & Pendleside; Boulsworth & Foulridge; Bradley; Earby & Coates; Fence & Higham; Marsden & Southfield; Vivary Bridge; Waterside & Horsfield; Whitefield & Walverden.
  • The Borough of Ribble Valley wards of: Chatburn; East Whalley, Read & Simonstone; Edisford & Low Moor; Littlemoor; Primrose; Sabden; St. Mary’s; Salthill; Whalley & Painter Wood; Wiswell & Barrow.[3]

The seat will replace the current constituency of Pendle, excluding the community of Brierfield (to be transferred to Burnley), extending northwards into the Ribble Valley constituency to include the town of Clitheroe.[4]
