Luxmichari (Bengali: লক্ষীছড়ি) is an upazila of Khagrachari District[1] in the Division of Chittagong, Bangladesh.
Geography
Lakshmichari is located at 22°47′25″N 91°54′00″E / 22.7903°N 91.9000°E. It has total area 220.14 km2.

As of the 2011 Bangladesh census, Lakshmichhari upazila had 6,084 households and a population of 25,994. 6,796 (26.14%) were under 10 years of age. Lakshmichhari had an average literacy rate of 35.2%, compared to the national average of 51.8%, and a sex ratio of 942 females per 1000 males. 2,087 (8.03%) of the population lived in urban areas.[3] The ethnic population was 20,913 (80.45%), of which Chakma were 14,680 and Marma 5,823.[4]
Administration
Lakshmichari Upazila is divided into three union parishads: Barmachhari, Dulyatali, and Lakshmichhari. The union parishads are subdivided into 16 mauzas and 134 villages.[2]
