Kerenza Bryson (born 7 September 1998) is a British modern pentathlete. She won a bronze medal in the women's individual event at the 2023 World Modern Pentathlon Championships and silver in the team competition.

Career

Bryson won her first Modern Pentathlon World Cup medals in Sofia, Bulgaria, in May 2023 taking gold in both the women's individual as well as the mixed relay.[2]

In August 2023, she won a bronze medal at the Modern Pentathlon World Championships and in doing so she secured Great Britain a quota spot for the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. She also won silver in the women's team competition at the same tournament held in Bath, England.[3]

Bryson won her second World Cup individual gold medal in April 2024 at an event held in Ankara, Turkey.[4][5]

Personal life

Bryson is a qualified doctor with a degree from the University of Plymouth and is a British Army reservist.[6] She was named 2023 UK Armed Forces Sportswoman of the Year.[7]
