In this Spanish name, the first or paternal surname is Becker and the second or maternal family name is Alvear.

Germán Becker Alvear (born 13 March 1955) is a Chilean politician who served as member of the Constitutional Council and the Chamber of Deputies of his country.[1][2] Similarly, he was appointed as ambassador to Panama during Sebastián Piñera's second government.[3]
