Summary
DescriptionWest 32nd Street skybridge.jpg | The skybridge connecting 1275 Broadway (formerly Gimbel's department store) on the right to 116 West 32nd Street to the south (on the left) was built in 1925 and designed in Art Deco style by Shreve, Lamb & Harmon, who also designed the Empire State Building. The bridge is covered in copper, the weathering of which gives it the green patina. 1275 Broadway is now the Manhattan Mall. (Source: AIA Guide to NYC (4th ed.)) |
