Français : Un jubé gothique de la cathédrale ayant été abattu par les iconoclastes en 1566, il fut décidé quelques années plus tard et après que les troubles se sont apaisés, de le reconstruire.
Ainsi, le sculpteur Corneille Floris de Vriendt fut appelé. Celui-ci s'inspira de la tradition des arcs de triomphe romains à la mode à la Renaissance. L'influence italienne y est bien présente par le type de matériaux utilisés, les teintes et les formes des personnages qui y sont sculptés et exécutés en stuc. Le nouveau jubé, terminé en 1572, est constitué de trois arcades en plein cintre posées sur des colonnes doriques en marbre rouge et des chapiteaux noirs. Il comporte trois statues d'albâtre : une Vierge à l'Enfant occupe le centre et est entourée de saint Piat, premier évangélisateur de Tournai, et de saint Éleuthère, un des premiers évêques de la ville.
