Summary

Description
English: LNER (ex-North Eastern) 0-6-0T at Normanton (LMS) Locomotive Depot.
Because its main line from York via Church Fenton came to Normanton, carrying heavy east-west freight traffic, the LNER also had a marshalling yard there but its locomotives were kept and serviced at the LMS (ex-Midland) Depot. This Worsdell J71 0-6-0T (No. 8292) was built in 1892 and withdrawn in 1954, being one of three allocated there in 1947 along with two ex-NE 0-6-0's. At the time the LMS had 75 locomotives at Normanton (LMS Code 20D), comprising:- 4 4-4-0, 19 2-8-0, 2 2-6-0, 37 0-6-0, 2 2-6-2T, 5 2-4-2T and 6 0-6-0T.
