Description
English: Miracle of Our Lady of the Rosary and the Knight Cologne attributed to Miguel Esteve (also attributed to other painters). According to the traditional interpretation by Émile Bertaux the painting was commissioned by María Enríquez de Luna, the widow of Giovanni Borgia, and shows the murder of his husband by his brother, Cesare. The interpretation is not supported by documents and disputed. The painting shows Our Lady of the Rosary with St. Catherine of Siena and St. Dominic.
