Deutsch: Das antike Theater von Aptera (Ἄπτερα) auf einem etwa 200 m hohen Felsplateau nahe der Souda-Bucht und der Stadt Chania wurde in zwei Phasen aus Quadermauerwerk und vereinzelt nur in Ziegelmauerwerk erbaut. Es stammt höchtswahrscheinlich aus der hellenistischen Zeit und im 1. Jahrhundert nach Christus. Archäologen rekonstruierten viele der ehemaligen Sitzreihen aus dem gleichen Gestein und benutzten dabei Werkzeuge ähnlich denen, die in der Antike zur Verfügung standen. Finanziert wurde die Rekonstruktion mit Unterstützung der Europäischen Union. «Άπτερα»
