Dehloran County (Persian: شهرستان دهلران) is in Ilam province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Dehloran.

Demographics

Language

Dehloran County is mostly populated by the Kurdish Kurdali tribe and has an Arab and Lur minority.[3]

History

After the 2011 National Census, the city of Meymeh was separated from Zarrinabad District in the establishment of Sarab Meymeh District.[4]

In March 2017, Dalpari Rural District was established in Musian District, and at the same time, Abu Ghoveyr and Dasht-e Abbas Rural Districts were separated from the district in the establishment of Dasht-e Abbas District.[5]

Population

At the time of the 2006 census, the county's population was 58,993 in 11,376 households.[6] The following census in 2011 counted 66,399 people in 14,852 households.[7] The 2016 census measured the population of the county as 65,630 in 16,959 households.[2]
