Superfamily of flies
The Culicoidea are a superfamily within the order Diptera.[1][2] The following families are included within the Culicoidea:
- Dixidae – meniscus midges
- Corethrellidae – frog-biting midges
- Chaoboridae – phantom midges
- Culicidae – mosquitoes
