2,5-Dihydroxycinnamic acid is a hydroxycinnamic acid derivative. It is an isomer of caffeic acid.
Preparation
2,5-Dihydroxycinnamic acid is produced by Elbs persulfate oxidation of o-coumaric acid.[1][2]
