Veg box scheme

I have removed the {{prod}} tag from Veg box scheme, which you proposed for deletion. I'm leaving this message here to notify you about it. If you still think the article should be deleted, please don't add the {{prod}} template back to the article. Instead, feel free to list it at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion. Thanks! Poltair (talk) 14:49, 10 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Link for "Air raid"

Your bot has change the link for "Air raid" to that of "Air Strike". This is incorrect when referring to bombings that occurred during The Blitz or for most indiscriminant bombing. I have change back the links in "The Bells Go Down" and "Harry Tate". DonJay (talk) 14:00, 13 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I don't like it staying on Air Raid as that is a disamguation page. I should have linked indiscriminant bombing to Strategic bombing. I'll have to go one by one. Let me know if you disagree with the not linking directly to Air Raid. PirateArgh!!1! 15:16, 13 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have a similar objection with regard to Air raid precautions. Airstrike has a more modern connotation or useage and does not really fit with World War 2 subjects. I do however agree that a link to a disambiguation page is not suitable. So I have changed the link to Aerial bombing of cities#European theatre which seems eminently more applicable. 21stCenturyGreenstuff (talk) 00:05, 14 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I misread you the first time and deleted my response. Thanks for the new link, I'm waiting for as many suggestions as possible before going through the whole list. PirateArgh!!1! 05:44, 14 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of List of wheelchair users

A tag has been placed on List of wheelchair users requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.) or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the article or have a copy emailed to you. manadude2 (talk) 23:40, 17 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Dan Youra

I added some references to Dan Youra. You may want to revisit Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Dan Youra (2nd nomination) -- Eastmain (talk) 16:56, 1 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

edit summaries..

I just saw your reverts on Civil defense siren. Can you make sure to use an edit summary when reverting spam or vandalism? It makes things easier to spot, and it's one way to signal your intent. Tools like Huggle and Twinkle make this much easier, but (as you may know) you can also set your preferences to force you to use edit summaries. Cheers, tedder (talk) 03:43, 2 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

3RR

We were all engaged in an edit war with 75.89.235.174 and all of us violated the Three-revert rule while removing his edits. I read up on it, and the rule applies to all edits, even if it's vandalism. Ginbot86 (talk) 14:43, 2 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please create the AFD subpage with {{subst:afd2|pg=Brittany Mason|cat=B|text=Your reason for deletion}}. Thanks, MrKIA11 (talk) 14:07, 23 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, I think I closed the little box that pops up too soon. There are way too many steps for me to have figured out how to do it manually. PirateArgh!!1! 15:50, 23 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Mathhew Lesko

THe mathhew lesko page was not vandalized. I added a link to the citation, now I have no idea how you would see it that way but your reversal of my contribution is counter productive. Please stop. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Root Beers (talk • contribs) 01:55, 4 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Before getting too defensive: What does this external link have to do with Matthew Lesko or him driving a minicooper? Here is the diff of your edit. PirateArgh!!1! 03:19, 4 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion declined: Dan Pero Manescu

Hello Drunken Pirate, and thanks for your work patrolling new changes. I am just informing you that I declined the speedy deletion of Dan Pero Manescu - a page you tagged - because: A7: article asserts importance -- "over 30 Group and One Man Shows", "Over 35 articles ... in several newspapers and magazines". Please review the criteria for speedy deletion before tagging further pages. If you have any questions or problems, please let me know. — Malik Shabazz Talk/Stalk 04:10, 4 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A10 speedy for "Sales Department"

What a useful new speedy! but in deleting the article I noticed that the links in the warning message weren't working right. I have been experimenting, and it seems that you don't need "1=" in the db tag: just {{db-a10|Sales}} is what works. One other point; where a user is quite new, like that one, it's a good idea to add a welcome message before the speedy notice - {{subst:firstarticle|<articlename>}} is a good one - to soften the WP:BITEyness of the speedy, and to give them some links to learn more about how to contribute. Keep up the patrolling - New Pages needs all the eyes it can get! JohnCD (talk) 19:14, 5 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I use the little buttons "csd" at the top of the page. PirateArgh!!1! 19:22, 5 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Help

I am confused about what is going on with my page that I'm trying to build. You are saying it is copyright infringement and I am still working to add in sources. All sources will be sited if you will give me a chance to add them in. This is a work in progress. This is my first time making a page, and I would appreciate it if you would give me a break to work out the kinks and add in my sources without changing my page. Please, this for a grade and it is due tomorrow. Just let me edit my page without any interruptions please. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Onepitch16 (talk • contribs) 11:06, 7 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced BLPs

Hello Drunken Pirate! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. Please note that all biographies of living persons must be sourced. If you were to add reliable, secondary sources to this article, it would greatly help us with the current 873 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

  1. Cuauhtémoc Sandoval Ramírez - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

Thanks!--DASHBot (talk) 16:49, 2 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I recently removed a speedy delete tag that you had placed on Panther in Spanish. I do not think that Panther in Spanish fits any of the speedy deletion criteria because The page is not an article, and thus does not qualify for CSD A1. If you think it's an implausible redirect, try another appropriate criteria, or try WP:RFD. I request that you consider not re-tagging Panther in Spanish for speedy deletion without discussing the matter on the appropriate talk page. You are, of course, free to tag the article with {{prod}} or nominate it at WP:AFD. Shirik (Questions or Comments?) 02:47, 3 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I understand process, but do you really think I'm going to have a discussion with someone on the talkpage of an implausible redirect? Why not wp:ignore and delete as an implausible redirect? PirateArgh!!1! 02:50, 3 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your contributions to the encyclopedia! In case you are not already aware, an article to which you have recently contributed, Climatic Research Unit hacking incident, is on article probation. A detailed description of the terms of article probation may be found at Wikipedia:General sanctions/Climate change probation. Also note that the terms of some article probations extend to related articles and their associated talk pages.

The above is a templated message. Please accept it as a routine friendly notice, not as a claim that there is any problem with your edits. Thank you. -- TS 13:01, 7 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Spanish name

There is a consensus to use the Spanish template when we are referring to Argentine items --Jor70 (talk) 01:14, 13 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

No. The general practice on Falklands articles is that, in articles whose subject is significant to the dispute, the first reference to the islands is written as "Falkland Islands (Spanish: Islas Malvinas)". PirateArgh!!1! 04:43, 16 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
And why you deleted the first reference then ? --Jor70 (talk) 10:16, 16 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Why did I delete the first reference? What reference? PirateArgh!!1! 04:42, 17 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
