Monidipa Mondal (also known as Mimi Mondal) is a writer based in New York. She writes in many genres including science fiction. She has recently been nominated for a Hugo Award and is the first Dalit person to have been nominated for it.[1] Indeed she is the first nominee from India.[2]
Mondal is the co-editor of Luminescent Threads: Connections to Octavia E. Butler, an anthology of letters and essays, which has been nominated for the Hugo Award.[1][2]
Education
Mondal earned a MFA in Creative Writing from Rutgers University in 2017.[3] She previously earned an MA in English from Jadavpur University in 2012.[3]
