One Blog to Bore Them All
Well, today in a moment of intense boredom I created a blog, called Wikis and Warriors. I have absolutely no clue what I'm really going to do with it, but if you want to know more about what I'm like that's probably a good place to start.
Languages I understand
I like languages, languages are cool, and the more you learn the better you understand the origins of English :)
- I am a native speaker of English (and speak it a lot better than most natives I might add)
- I have an excellent knowledge of the Latin volcabulary, enough to translate inscriptions and jokes (tu es caudex!) on-the-fly, but ask me about declensions beyond the third and I'm done for!
- I have a pathetic knowledge of Old English, only enough to get by. I can get the gist of something, but little more than that I'm afraid. There's always night school...
- I hope to add Greek to my abilities, if only Massey would offer it again...
- I might learn Japanese if I can fit it in somewhere...
- Oh and I took some Maori, how could I forget? Pathetically easy to learn... compared to Latin that is...
Cruftwatch
I'm getting tired of contstantly crawling the 'pedia looking for rubbishy cruft to merge, so I've started the all-new Cruftwatch portal thing. Feel free to contribute. Um, please? I'm begging you... the cruft is stronger than I am... :)

Here goes the stuff where I don't know what it's doing on WP, or I want to follow its growth or improvement, and if I get around to it I'll label it or something... If you wanna jump in and do one for me, feel free to remove it from this list :)

- Image:Pokeballs.jpg, this not only needs the source indicated, but I'd also like to cut out the individual balls to illustrate the list with.

- decide what should be done with these now that Image:Chamscript.png has been created.

You know when you spot something and think "that'd be GREAT to use on WP at some point!" and then you lose the link and search in vain for it? ...you don't? Well, anyway, I do, so here they are...

Pages I'm particularly proud of
These are the pages I've either heavily contributed to, or was the sole author of.
- Zelda LCD games, sole author (so far)
- BS Zelda: Kodai no Sekiban, sole author (so far)
- The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, made some fairly good contributions there... but give it a month after its release and my groundwork will look insignificant!
- Grand Theft Auto Advance, (re?)wrote most of it, I forget...
- The Legend of Zelda series enemies, characters, and races. I am particularly proud of these, and it's even been referred to as an example in the similar Wikipedia:Pokeprosal! I took about a hundred splintered and obscure stubs and united them into useful and flowing articles. I hope that some day all fan works can have their obscure parts united like this.
- Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories, gave this updates at almost a twice-hourly rate. Despite not knowing a crap of a lot about the game, I still think it gives a good idea of the content to expect now. In retrospect I maybe should have found/started a Wikinews post or something and contributed there... hmmm...
My Wikibooks contributions
I have authored several guides in the Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas Wikibook; some were just vague and brief stubs when I started on them, others didn't exist at all, and now they're virtually GameFAQ's quality!

Things I need to do/finish
I used to use my Watchlist to remind myself, but now it's got like 350+ pages in it...
- Dark World, either rewrite to make useful as separate or merge to The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past#The Two Worlds.
- Image:Satellaview system.png, AC Adapter >> AC adapter
Crush more PNGs using the pngrewrite> optipng> pngcrush> pngout chain suggested by... um... someone...

I am a "Mergist"
I am a "mergist". I don't believe in mercilessly deleting, but I don't believe in allowing 5000+ splintered eternal stub articles to exist either. Look at my work on merging the Zelda characters/races/enemies into core pages. They are still as useful and valid as they ever were, and indeed are made *more* useful by listing them together. Why? With a separate page structure, a user has to click through to each and every related thing. If they are all on the same page, the user merely scrolls up/down to see related things. This is certainly a goal that should be aimed for, in this and all other Wiki projects.
