This edit standard this page with the other 'year'ed Wikipedia pages for the Scream Awards: 1) Converts the "Nominees" section into a new "Competitive categories" section, and converts the table into the standard format; 2) Converts the "Special awards" section into a table and moves it after the new "Competitive categories" section; 3) Adds an 'info box'

Revision as of 13:10, 30 July 2023

Billed as 2011 Scream Awards, the 2011 ceremony of the Scream Awards, run by Spike TV, was the seventh iteration of these awards, which was run annually in subsequent years. The awards ceremony was held on 15 October 2011[1] on the Universal Studios lot in Hollywood (California, Los Angeles) and was broadcast by Spike TV on the following Tuesday (18 October 2011[1]). This ceremony was the final Scream Awards ceremony, due to these annual events being discontinued, due to their dwindling popularity and Spike TV's re-formatting (including a change of their name Paramount).[5]

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 and X-Men: First Class led the nominees with 14 nominations each. Other notable nominees included Captain America: The First Avenger (11 nominations), Thor (nine), True Blood (seven), Game of Thrones (seven) and AMC’s The Walking Dead (six). Voting was done by fans who visit the Spike website.[1]
