Deutsch: 07.06.2004 01309 Dresden-Johannstadt (Striesen), Reinickstraße 10 (GMP: 51.044099,13.773164): Mietvilla in offener Bebauung, 1903. Vom Jugendstil geprägtes Gebäude. Für Entwurf und Ausführung zeichnete der Bauunternehmer Carl August Eichler verantwortlich, der das Haus bald nach der Fertigstellung an Christina Cornelia Clara Menzel, Ehefrau des Bauunternehmer Robert Menzel, verkaufte. Der Hausflur entführt mit seiner Farbenpracht in eine fremde, exotische Welt. Die untere Wandzone des Entrées ist so bemalt, dass der Eindruck einer kostbaren Marmorverkleidung entsteht. Darüber folgt eine wunderbare Jugendstilausmalung. Pfauen tummeln sich in einer paradiesischen Landschaft, die zusätzlich durch Blüten, einen See und Schwäne belebt wird. Die gleichförmig aufgereihten Apfelbäume sorgen für einen friesartigen Eindruck. Der Boden ist mit reich gemusterten Mettlacher Fliesen bedeckt.
