Derivative work of a copyrighted banner A1Cafel (talk) 03:36, 26 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The image was taken at a public demonstration. This would surely fall under fair use. 124.182.12.163 12:18, 31 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Keep. This is image of an EVENT at which the poster happens to be visible. The photograph gives the context which the poster is being displayed. It's fair use (recording the event that took place) and could be used within any newspaper, magazine or news program within Australia. It is NOT attempting to reproduce the artwork, it is instead depicting the event. The image is newsworthy and any attempt to enforce copyright (of which we have no evidence) would be legally unenforceable. Raising these as deletion requests is misuse in my view.
