Hamm was selected 9th overall in the 2023 USFL draft by the Pittsburgh Maulers, however he decided not to play for them and instead declared for the NFL Draft.

After not being selected in the 2023 NFL draft, Hamm signed with the Baltimore Ravens as an undrafted free agent.[5] On August 29, 2023, the Ravens announced that he had made the initial 53-man roster, but he was placed on injured reserve two days later.[6][7][8]
