Bunitrolol is a beta-adrenergic antagonist.[1]

Synthesis

2-Hydroxybenzonitrile (1) is treated with epichlorohydrin and sodium hydroxide to give the epoxide (2). Addition of tert-butylamine completes the synthesis of bunitrolol.[2]
