Emily Catrin Darlington is a British Labour Party politician who has been Member of Parliament for Milton Keynes Central since 2024.[1]

Early life and education

Darlington was born at St Thomas' Hospital in London, England. She emigrated to Canada with her father when she was young, spending her summers in south Wales. She returned to live in the United Kingdom in c. 2000.[2]

Political career

In the 2015 general election she stood for the seat of Milton Keynes North, but came second.[3] In 2018 she won a seat as a councillor on the Milton Keynes Council in a by-election.[4] She would become deputy leader of the Labour group.[5]

She is part of the White Ribbon Campaign.[6]

On 24 July 2024, Darlington made her maiden speech in the House of Commons during a debate on education and opportunity.[2]
