Français : Ce monument est erigé au boulier de la nation Mathieu Kérékou, né le 2 septembre 1933 à Kouarfa, non loin de Natitingou (ex-colonie du Dahomey), et mort le 14 octobre 2015 à Cotonou (Bénin), C'est un homme d'État béninois. Proclamé après un coup d'état président de la République du Dahomey, puis de la République populaire du Bénin du 26 octobre 1972 au 1er mars 1990, il est ensuite élu président de la République du Bénin du 4 avril 1996 au 5 avril 2006, date à laquelle il cède démocratiquement le pouvoir.
English: This monument is erected in the abacus of the nation Mathieu Kérékou, born September 2, 1933 in Kouarfa, not far from Natitingou (former colony of Dahomey), and died October 14, 2015 in Cotonou (Benin), It is a man of Beninese State. Proclaimed after a coup d 'état President of the Republic of Dahomey, then the People's Republic of Benin from October 26, 1972 to March 1, 1990, he is then elected President of the Republic of Benin from April 4, 1996 to April 5, 2006, date to which he democratically yields power. |
