It is also known as, or is associated with, Echo Mountain Trail, Lookout Mountain Trail and Pine Ridge Trail.[1] The trail was rebuilt in 1930 by the National Park Service; trail design reflects NPS Naturalistic Design of the 1920s to 1940s.
It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2008. The listing included 8 acres (3.2 ha) with one contributing structure.[1][2]
