Common Backyard Mammals

Mammals are a class of vertebrates characterized by warm-blood, hairy bodies, a four-chambered heart, a single jaw bone, sweat glands and – in females – mammary glands for suckling young.

Some of these animals are considered pests when entering a residential property. The key is to identify which are visiting your yard and if they are damaging to your property. Most of the time they are not an issue but sometimes measures need to be taken to either keep them out or have them removed to another location.
